Driving Lessons in York with
D-G Driver Training
York Based Driving Instructor

Research has shown that generally, clients taking 2 hour lessons learn far faster than those taking one hour lessons. Here's why...

Any driving lesson should start with a recap of what was covered last time, and an introduction to what is going to be covered in the current lesson. Lessons should also finish with a debrief, and any writing up/booking next lesson etc that needs to take place. Add this to time taken driving to and from practise sites, particularly when covering manouevres, or to a test route when nearing test time and we can easily find 20 minutes or more being eaten up by non-learning (albeit still necessary) time. Consequently over two one-hour lessons, only 80 minutes may be quality learning time compared to 100 minutes when taking two hour lessons. This may not seem like much difference, but extend it out over a few lessons and you'd have to pay for 10 hours in one-hour lessons to get the same learning time as eight hours taken in two-hour lessons.

Two hour lessons generally work out better for me too, as I spend less time and money driving around between lessons, resulting in a cost saving that I'm able to pass on to you through competitive lesson pricing.

Even if you choose not to train with DG Driver Training, I'd recommend you ask your instructor about 2 hour lessons. It works!
